Through the ISO 45001 management system standards and regular third-party audits, employees are strictly required to comply and implement these standards. Continuous education and training are provided, focusing on observing people, the environment, and behaviors. Ongoing improvements are promoted to ensure that every employee contributes to establishing a safe and friendly workplace, allowing OSE to continue progressing towards sustainable development.

Building a Safe Workplace

Providing a safe, healthy, and secure working environment is a fundamental commitment and corporate responsibility at OSE. The company has fully implemented the ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System and the CNS 45001 Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health Management System, adhering to the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle to establish a preventionoriented management system and enforce practical occupational safety and health management.

In 2024, external audits for ISO 45001 and CNS 45001 covered 100% of employees at the Taiwan plant. Internal and third-party verification audits are conducted annually to strengthen system operations and ensure compliance.

2024 Indicator Description: Some indicators, such as FR and SR, have increased slightly compared to 2023 but remain within a controllable range. OSE continues to enhance prevention mechanisms and employee safety training to ensure risks are effectively managed.

Improvement Actions and Responses to Occupational Injuries in 2024

In response to common occupational injury incidents in 2024, OSE implemented the following improvement measures to strengthen source control and foster a culture of occupational safety::

OSE continues to adopt data-driven occupational safety management models, using empirical feedback and high-risk scenario simulations to progress toward the goals of “zero accidents” and cultivating “safety awareness among all employees.”

Hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation

OSE conducts hazard identification and risk assessment procedures for the operating environment, equipment, machinery, services, etc. every year, determines the risk level based on hazard severity, occurrence frequency and accident probability, establishes relevant management plans, and conducts immediate inspections for high-risk operating environments. Risk management and control measures are implemented to reduce all risks.

OSE identifies high-risk working environments, such as environments with ionizing radiation, noise, hazardous chemicals and dust. OSE conduct environmental monitoring for this environment and provide training, personal protective equipment, and regular special health check-ups for personnel working in this environment to track and ensure their occupational health.

Enforce Work Safety Management and Prevention

In compliance with the contractor/internal construction management protocols, contractor/ internal construction management approach, and EHS and procurement management protocols, OSE regularly evaluates contractors quarterly to uncover violations and take immediate remedial action.

Healthy Workplace

OSE recognizes that healthy employees are the foundation of sustainable corporate operations. To prevent occupational diseases, raise health awareness, and promote physical and mental well-being, OSE has established a dedicated professional team and, in compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act, developed a comprehensive health service system to foster a “healthy workplace” culture, aiming to fundamentally enhance employee well-being and organizational effectiveness.
